Chex Domestic Shorthair Young Female in Altoona, Pennsylvania

My story
Hi, I'm Chex! I'm a 2 year old girl who was brought into the shelter after being hit by a car and losing the use of both of my back legs. Upon X-ray it was found that one of my legs was fractured and the other was completely dislocated. I was placed into a foster home to allow my fractured leg to heal so that the other could be removed, but I wasn't having any part of that! After a bit of time, I managed to regain the use of BOTH of my back legs! During the time I spent healing, I showed my foster family how sweet I really am. My foster mom says you won't find a nicer cat! I crave attention and will stop what I'm doing and come running for anyone who will love on me. I enjoy belly rubs, cat toys, cat trees and a nice window seat. I also enjoy the company of other cats. I would prefer any children in my forever home to be old enough to understand to be gentle and careful if they pick me up. I have not yet been tested with dogs. I will be staying with my foster family for a while longer, so any visits with me do need to be scheduled. If you'd like to meet me, please submit an application and staff will be happy to set something up!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chex, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
